Nicolet North Trail

The Nicolet North Trail is a 15 mile trail with lots of gentle hills. It runs through part of the 650,000 acre Nicolet, half of the Chequamegon - Nicolet National Forest. The different loops of the trail are well marked according to difficulty level. Parking for the trail is 8 1/2 miles east of Eagle River on Highway 70, then south on Military Road to Forest Road 2181 (Butternut Lake Road). Turn east to Forest Road 2425 and south to the parking lot.
